****Kermani Arts Days reception to be held on May 29****

Please join us for a Kermani Arts Days reception for Thom Breitenbach on Thursday, May 29 from 3:45-5 p.m. in the Silipigno Athletic Facility Lobby on the East Campus. This will be a great opportunity to meet the artist and view student artwork. Refreshments will be served.

****Academies students selected for Regional Juried Art Exhibition****

Seven Academies students -- Gus Abruzzese (Form VI), Valerie Altounian '09, Sam Spitalny (Form V), Sooha Lim '09, Alex Brix '08, Drue Sokol '09 and Daniella Zeman '10 -- were selected to participate in the 2008 High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition from March 30 to April 13 at the Opalka Gallery at Russell Sage College in Albany. The exhibition celebrates the accomplishments of talented student artists.

FINE ARTS AT THE ALBANY ACADEMIES

The fine arts – visual and performing – are integral to an Academies education. From the earliest years, The Albany Academies experience is infused with substantial and unique offerings in the arts. These classes are designed to foster original and creative thinking while giving students the technical skills to express themselves in an artistic medium. The student experience is further enriched by our Kermani Arts program, which, each year, funds workshops and performances by visiting artists.
